The Dark Void is a place which has been blocked by ATA members after Simon Cramdilly fell down into the said portal, never to return, until his brothers opened & started the portal, despite their friends' warnings, which were proven false, as Simon did come back.
It has been suggested in the Great Founder's logs that the Void might be similar to the afterlife, which brings the theory of Simon being dead to light.
